    Hi Robert,

The only difference here is in the resolution of the output. The _25

variant gives you finer resolution by a factor of 10.

You can normally just use the normal GerberRS274x driver, the _25

variation was added due to requirements from certain boardhouses.

    Jorge,

I just got finished comparing gerber files generated with both settings and your answer is what I was looking for.

    Thanks,

    Robert Wolf

I guess this is mostly a problem with fill areas. Since the Eagle/CAM is

using wire fill, the rounding vs Eagle's built in constant overlap can make

ultra-thin blank stripes in the fill pattern. Since manufacturers software

try to convert fills into polygons, they fail if rounding is causing blank

    stripes.

Imo, cadsoft should use an overlap vs rounding parameters that will ensure

there is no blank stripes. Ideally the overlap should match whatever

rounding the CAM does, but it is also important to keep wysiwyg in the

    editor.

This is another reason for future Eagle versions to evolve from wire fill to

    proper polygon fill.
