Eagle Freemium License Failure

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

Hi,

I received my freemium license code this past Thursday, Jan 15, 2015. At first everything functioned properly in my design, but when I tried to open it again on Jan 18th and load the original freemium license code, using the same computer,  I received the following error:  "The code you entered has already been used on a different computer".  I am only using one computer so I don't know why I am receiving this error.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Joe Licata

    Hi Joe,

I hope you're doing well. The freemium license gets tied to a Mac

Address, on a computer there are multiple peripherals with these types

of addresses. The freemium grabs one.

If you had any dongles attached at the time of installing your Freemium

it's likely that the Freemium grabbed on to one of those. Try to make

sure that all of the things that were attached to your computer at the

time of licensing are attached whenever you want to use EAGLE.

It's also recommended that the network settings stay the same as

    whenever you licensed the Freemium.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia

    Hi Joe,

I hope you're doing well. Did your network settings change? Did you have any peripherals plugged in, that you later removed? The Freemium license locks on to a MAC address and if there are any peripherals(networking specifically) that were plugged in at the time of licensing, the Freemium may have locked onto one of those. If none of the above is applicable to you, please contact support@cadsoftusa.com so that we can take other measures.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
