I've got a couple LED current drivers but because of the long stretch between the driver and LEDs (~1 ft) I'm using traces thicker than the the ICs pads.
Is there a way to make it so pad thermals are active for traces? I've got about a dozen ICs driving 16 LEDs each and really would like to avoid manually spliting the line just before the IC to make it thinner.
If not, when it comes to reflow, should I be concerned if my drivers 16 pads are ~20mil but my traces are 30mil?
