Flip the board to route on bottom

Hi,

I already read a post about this suggestion. For my use I don't need this for routing purposes, since I often work on several layer, It's a non sense to flip view. But this flipping view makes sense when we debugging a board (when we need to locate where to put the oscilloscope probe on the bottom face !!!!) OK, we can print copy with 'mirror' option, it's true ! But tell me how to highlight a net on a paper print with a click with your pen !!!! 

So this feature would be REALLY nice, because It would make debugging really easier. And I'm sure, other users will found many good uses of this feature.

Just one detail : the user must be aware that the flip mode is active : I suggest that a really visible sign must be display to inform that the view is flipped (This could looks like the message to warn you that you board is open without the schematic)....

That also would be great, because display screens are often wide but their height is really smaller, and sometime, a rotation will be welcome.

Hi Miklos, hi all with the same question,

All of the board is shown FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Mirror of the complete board is build in!

Just mark the complete board  with the GORUP button and then  press MIRROR !!!Group!!!

and the complete board will be mirrored - also on bottom side.

BUT !!!! - be careful now by routing.

Also you can do this with one component on board, eg. mounting SMD parts on bottom side -> mark -> mirror and this part is in bottom.

Eagle makes Layer pairs - 1 and 16, 2 and 15, .....or 1 an 2, 15 and 16... or equal.

Your approach does not works if:

- You have locked down parts

- If you are using a size limited license and your board area is bigger than the half of the dimension.

- workaround: unlock

- workaround: just mirror parts that not jump out of dimension. - better buy a larger license.

Sorry, your argument, yes, is alright himself, but - it is normal that you can move just the unlocked parts.

Matt assured this would be implemented 9 months ago, where is it?

Autodesk possibly does not know how to do this, you'd think they would have

great cad knowledge & be able to implement without much trouble.

Maybe it will appear in the next release, if they can figure it out.

KiCad supports this as of V5. Pre-release is expected this summer.
