Gerber files for the power planes

Hi,

 

I generated the gerber files for my 4 layer PCB using 'gerb274x-4layer' cam

job. The inner two layers are gnd & power plane respectively.  But when I

view the gerber files for the inner layer, I dont see it flooded with

copper. Is this how it is supposed to be ?  I am able to see the copper pour

on the top and bottom layers.

 

While importing the files to cam viewer, I get the warning ' 0 size aperture

used' . Should I ignore it? How can this be corrected ?

 

I am new to PCB layout, so I apologize if my question are very amatuer.

    The board outline may be of zero width. But many component's silkscreen

    If you don't have bottom smd's the file should be almost empty and you

    don't need to generate or send it.

     

    I don't use GC Preview so I have no idea but if the file has no data

    that could cause errors.

     

    You can look at the Gerber output to check it.  What I do is modify the

    too small tool size to something very large then then look at the result

    with a viewer to see what and where it is then fix the offending component.

    If you have the inner layer check as power then the gerber output is

    inverted. So what is drawn is the areas that have no copper.

    You have to set your viewer to compensate. Not sure on the 0 size problem.

    If you need any traces on the inner layer use a normal layer and

    polygons for the fill as it is much simpler to see what you have that way.
