HELP! Schematic won't open.

Hi Folks,

I've spent 3 days working on this schematic and everything was going mostly smoothly but all of a sudden when I try to open the schematic I get the following error:

Warning(s):

line 8647: invalid value '' for attribute 'name' in tag <net>

Error:

line 8668, column 6: invalid/missing attribute 'name' in tag <net>

Is there a way to fix this? I've tried opening all 9 of the backups but they give the same error. This will suck if I have to re-do everything. BTW I'm using Version 7.2.0 for Windows.

I managed to fix this by going in to my text editor and manually adding net names from lines 8647 to 8768. Don't understand what happened but why did Eagle allow me to quit the program if there were these errors that would keep me from opening the schematic back up. I'd really like to know what I did wrong so I don't repeat this error. My heart rate is just now starting to return to normal. I thought I had lost everything.

Again, save your heart and read the manual to understand autobackup. Each
time you save Eagle creates a new version so you can always go back one
save cycle.
