Hi
Libraries don't need to be installed. They are simply files.
If you are running v5 of Eagle then you need to locate v5 or earlier,
library files. V5 of Eagle does not know how to handle the later xml
based files. You can tell them apart by attempting to open one using a
text editor. The v6 will be readable xml formatted, The v5 are binary
files which are mainly unreadable.
Once you acquire a v5 library file, place it in a folder, anywhere, and
then ensure you include that folder in the directories setup.
i.e from the control panel > Options> Directories... > libraries
Then back in the control panel, verify you can see the library listed.
Ensure it is USEd (green dot) so that it is available when performing an
ADD.
