I have a product that requires electronics

How do I find a reasonably priced electronics engineer to help me work out the prototyping issues associated with the development of a new product that doesn't currently exist and would require numerous iterations to perfect.

    More seriously - there ARE several on E14 but thousands world wide.

     

    I always suggest to people in your position to start locally - you need a close relationship with your engineer and you need to meet face to face to get that going.

     

    So the first big question is  -  where are you ?

     

    It will help a lot to get help here if you describe your project in as much detail as you can without giving any secrets away.

    I live in multiple locations. Miami, Orlando and New York. The product is a washing machine. I am seeking product development on the electronics portion of the product only. The product is unique and therefore the engineer would have to sign a nda prior to the disclosure of the design. I have extensive knowledge and experience creating products that are currently successful in the marketplace so the individual wouldn't be working with an amateur. I use to have a very good ee but they unfortunately retired and moved out of the country last year. Now searching for a replacement I can trust. In my past dealings with the ee that I worked closely with we simply Skyped and didn't find the need to actually meet in person as you have indicated may be needed in a successful working arrangement. I say this to indicate that I am open to any ee that may or may not be within meeting distance. I do need an ee that is familiar with 3d cad designs and or works closely with a 3d cad designer. We seek to employ a great deal of 3d print parts in the initial prototyping stages. Thank you for your help in this matter.
