How do I (in 'eagle.scr' if possible) set the default text size of net
labels?

Busses use the global text size in the schematic sheet.
You may set the text size of the Schematic editor by using this command
in eagle.scr: CHANGE SIZE 50mil
You can use the command again to change the size quickly in the scheme,
if using the TEXT tool.- ted
