BUT it is SEVERE need of an update to give new Eagle users a GOOD
impression:

Yes it does. EAGLE version 5.x.x runs without problems. If you are working
with an older EAGLE version, for example 4.1x, there are a few things you
have to take care of:
1. If you are not able to install EAGLE 4.1 from the CD-ROM.......
