It would be useful if there was one or two user assignable directories that
could be set up along with the Eagle directories.
Maybe called USER1 and USER2
The paths of these directories should be accessible with their equivalent of
the current ULP constants e.g. ' path_lbr[] '
I see this being of value with ULPs that currently require hardcoding of a
users path to particular information, like datasheets.
Once the user has set up all their datasheets in this directory and recorded
the path in the Options/Directory then a ULP can determine the path. and
target the data..
Currently there are ULPs that do such things but they require every user to
key their path into the ULP. If the data is subsequently moved to another
directory the ULP becomes non-functional until it is modified. Sure they
must change the path in Options/Directories, but that is the more
appropriate place. ULPs should plug and play.
