On a Vista system the file "eaglerc.usr" is located in
C:\Users\Username\Documents
I recently installed VB2008 Express Edition and the installer created a
folder C:\Users\Username\Desktop\Documents
Since I didn't want to have 2 "Documents" folders, I changed the VB2008
settings so that it uses the default C:\Users\Username\Documents folder and
deleted the C:\..\Desktop\Documents folder
However, for some obscure reason Eagle now searches for the "eaglerc.usr"
file in the C:\Users\Username\Desktop\Documents and obviously it can't find
it.
I solved the issue by re-creating a "Documents" folder on the desktop and
simply copying the eaglerc.usr file to this new directory but I don't
understand wy this happened. In the registry the path to the file is still
correct, i.e. C:\users\Username\Documents.
Can anyone tell me how I can change the path Eagle is using for locating
the "eaglerc.usr" file?
