Hi,
I'm looking to make a Raspberry PI or other small computer as a
telephone answering machine with caller id check. The modems currently
available don't seem to support the latest caller id version. Is there
a chip that can be used with the Raspberry PI or other small computer
that can interface with a telephone connection? It would need to detect
and supply the caller id information to the computer and when told to
answer the call play a message and then pass the incoming call (voice)
data to the computer for recording.
Thanks for any info?
Lou
