eaglerc.usr being overwritten...

I tried 7.5 on my Windows 7PC, made the appropriate mods and it worrked

like a charm.

 

Then, when I tried to do the same on my Win 8.1, any changes were

ignored, regardless of if Eagle was shut down or not whilst the file was

modded.

 

Have I lost my marbles? Why is Eagle ignoring my entries? I even tried

copy/modify the other MenuText items just in case it was my formatting.

 

Please help.

Please check your eagle.scr. There is the MENU command that defines

some buttons for the text menu. this might be the reason for overwriting

the settings in eaglerc.usr.

Problem solved. I stopped trying to edit in the eaglerc and moved all my edits into eagle.scr

Now on to trying to make an icon similar to the designlink and ltspice one. Do you have a template?

Also, thank you for the very fast reply. I was nicely surprised.
