NAME command in ULP

Hello,

 

I've using NAME within a ULP to automatically rename some busses/wires. It

works great when there is just one occurrence of a wire on a sheet but as

soon as there is a second I get a pop-up asking if I want to change just

the selected segment or all segments in the sheet. Looking at the docs I

can't see a way to make this happen automatically without prompting, does

anybody else know of a way to stop this prompt showing up?

 

If not then maybe the command needs an enhancement to allow the following

optional parameter for naming busses/wires:

 

NAME new_name (x y) T

 

where T = This segment, E = Every segment on sheet and A = All segments on

all sheets

    mixup with any names? Like the character ':', so you could define

    commands like:

     

    NAME :allsheets: <oldname> <newname>;

     

    But maybe allsheets should be explicit on this syntax. Also,

     

    NAME :thissheets: <newname> (x y);

     

    Would work. The position of :<flag>: is kinda relaxed on this syntax,

    so

    even

     

    NAME <oldname> (x y) :thisseg:;

    will be consistant.

     

    Even using multiple independantly placed keywords could work here,

    like

     

    NAME <oldname> :thisseg: (x y) :includepolygons:;

     

     

    This is very easy to interpret for the commant interpreter.

    As shown, I do prefer having some name instead of single character or

    numbers for the selections. They will also work for future added

    keywords.

     

     

    Yep this all seems completely sensible to me image
