Dear community,
I need to place a fiducial symbol into an smd pad in the bottom copper
layer.
So I tried to place two cutout Polygons inside a freefrom polygon smd to
create a cutout in the shape of a cross.
Unfortunately this did not work. I can set the property "cutout" to the
polygon in the package Editor, but when I place the footprint in the board
layout this is ignored and a completely filled smd is placed.
I did a Workaround by using a freefrom smd and filling the rest with an
additional polygon in the same layer (in screenshot marked red, for
reference).
Probably this will cause overlap Errors in the design rule checker.
Is it a bug, that the cutout method does not work in the library Editor?
