Do you want to load the   board?

Occasionally I accidentally close a board and not the project. To put

things back to the proper state I close the project and immediately reopen

it, the schematic opens along with a requester asking if I want to load the

board, I say yes and the board doesn't open.

 

Is this just my setup, all Mac, or all platforms, I have a recollection

Linux did the same thing.

 

Eagle 7.6.0 Yosemite 10.10.5.

    Hi,

     

    I run EAGLE on OSX too although I am on the latest version 10.11.6. I

    believe the board is actually loaded, it's just minimised initially. When

    you switch to the board it pops up into view. You should see that even when

    you think it's not loaded if you make changes in the schematic they are

    reflected in the board so this will prove that it is loaded as the back

    annotation is working.

     

    FYI, you can get rid of the nag about do you want to load the other drawing

    (and why wouldn't you? Other than you have some strange liking for having

    to fix a design in an inconsistent state!) by issuing the command:

     

    SET Option.AutoLoadMatchingDrawingFile 1

     

    And then it will never ask you again and will do it automatically. I'm

    unsure why this isn't the default.

    Didn't realise the board was loaded but minimised, don't generally use the

    "switch to other" widget.

     

    Have set Option.AutoLoadMatchingDrawingFile to 1 in .eaglerc, all is well.

    Still wondering why a yes response to the requester was ignored.
