Consistant auto change width

autodeskguest

There seems to be some inconsistancy on auto changing widths when

starting to route nets that belongs to a class.

Diff wires do seem to change width, but not singleend signals. It's nice

that diff signals do it, but maybe all classed signals having width!=0

should do this.

Then it would be nice if this only happened when started from pads/smd

or via. If grabbing an airwire starting from a wire, it sounds more

practical to continue this wire width, don't you think?

    Hi Morten,

I hope you're doing well. The issue here might be a conflict between DRC

and the netclasses. Most of the values in the DRC and all of the values

in the Netclasses dialog define minimums.

Now if a netclass has a specified minimum width smaller then the DRC,

then the DRC wins and you might not see a change. You're an experienced

EAGLE users, and I'm certain you are aware of this but in support you

    can't take anything for granted.

If you go into Options > Set > Misc Tab. Make sure the auto set route

width and drill option is set. If it is then you should the width

maintained if you start routing at an existing trace.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia
