Hi Glenn,
I work for Autodesk, and Richard has been wrapped up with other things
during this transistion. I believe he's enjoying a well deserved
vacation at the moment so no worries you'll be hearing more from him.
In the meantime, let me know if there's anything I can do for you.
Best Regards,

Hi Jorge, glad to hear he's taking a break
I was wondering "is there a way to rotate the text on a pin?"

Hi Glenn,
Unfortunately, the pin and pad texts in symbols can't be moved or
otherwise adjusted by the end user. If you need to have to some text to
rotate or modify then you have to add it in the symbol manually using
the TEXT command. Then you can use Change Visible to disable the text
EAGLE produces automatically.
That's the basic gist of it.
Let me know if you need any further clarification.
Best Regards,
Jorge Garcia
