Polygon thermals on for t hroughole only

Dear Cadsoft team,

Could you please add another polygon property?

Usually, I want thermals only for throughole components but not for SMD

pads.

This means that I have to draw separate polygons in the same layer, one

with thermals on and one with thermals off.

The reason is, that all SMD components are handled by a pick and place

machine, the throughole components

like pcb connecters and switches, are not. They are soldered by hand.

Thanks.

You do know the SMD's and PAD's in a package have a "thermal" flag that

can be cleared (set by default)?

SMD's may often need thermals for service-friendliness or when wave

soldered. They are not always reflow soldered.

Yes. But that's a weird solution because that way you need to create

    duplicate libraries,

one with, and one without thermals. Not an elegant solution.

The approach with polygons makes more sense imho.

    Thanks for trying to help.
