Does anyone know how to replace vias in auto routing with 0% SMD resistors?

I'm a recent purchaser of Eagle since I'm getting a bit serious about designing hardware.  I'm doing isolation milling, and also going to start testing Voltera's V-One for some portions.

Vias (thus far, but I haven't tried the conductive ink solution from Voltera) isn't as easy at home.  I have ordered solutions to do 2-3 different ways which I'll test, although I had bought a reel of 1000 0% SMD resistors.  I think this is a great option for doing single side boards without requiring vias if all components are SMD.

I was wondering if anyone knows, or has experience with the best way of using these to route?

Is it possible to 'configure' the auto router for doing other tactics?  I have also considered a script to attempt to find, or generate these 0% resistors.

Has anyone else used this, and what are your best methods?

Thanks.

mike

I don't like the auto router and route manually.

I design single sided boards as double sided and use the lower layer to show me where my link wires should go. You could do something similar, and use very small vias to create the 'pads' for the resistors - I've done that once or twice before now.
