In the schematics, I'd like to see the origin cross on a separate layer,
so we can hide it the same way the green pads/vias are hidden on board
when selecting background color for them.
This should go for all object including text.

Then you wouldn't be able to select or move the objects.

There are two outcomes of having them on a separate layer:
1-If the COLOR of the origin layer is set to background, you will still
be able to move it, but won't see where the origin is. In general I dont
care where it is, a long as my symbol is where I want it. This may be a
problem for weird symbols where the origin is far off, but if you need
to find it, you get the option to make it visble again by setting it to
a normal color.
2-if origin layer is turned off, you will not be able to move them. Like
in board editor, this option is maybe not very useful, but rather a side
effect.
When this is said, It is of course also possible for Cadsoft to ignore
the origin all together and rather generate a virtual handle near the
"center of gravity", or just respond to any of the symbols visible
parts. The user doesnt need/want to care about the origin, they only
care about wysiwyg.
