Cut net in schematic editor

autodeskguest

Hi when using the cutting tool in the schematic editor, it would be nice

if the cuts could snap to the nearest grid point and each cut segment

not be shorter then 1 grid unit.

I think it would even be acceptable to just remove one net segment

between two adjacent grid points when the knife passes between them.

Since everything in this editor works off a common .1 grid it's a pain

to have line segments shorter. Lots of fix-up work required.

    Hi Glenn,

If you are talking about the slice tool, you can specify a width so so

just set the width to be two grid points (0.2 inches) and I think you'll

    be set.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

    HI Jorge,

I've just tried this and as far as I can see there are two issues:

First it doesn't appear there is anywhere to set this as a default so you

can only specify it on the command line?

Second, the slice does not snap to grid so when you do this is puts a 0.2in

cut around wherever it happens to be sliced which is unlikely to be exactly

    on grid.

    Best Regards,

    Rachael
