We lost our Eagle CAD

Hello

I am wondering If can we recover our Eagle SW?

We bought EAGLE TOOL PCB DESIGN LS STANDARD in  SEP 12,2013

Invoice # 24209656

    to recover your Eagle version:
    have you downloaded your lastest version? - e.g. V6.6.0 (that is what i think, your license comes with V5 or V6)

     

    If so, then you also got a license file xxxxxxx.key and with this file you also got a code for activation the Eagle software.
    The code contains 10 ASCII Characters.

    -> Install the software.
    -> copy the license file into the folder where the eagle.exe is stored.
    -> start Eagle - go to the register menu "help" - "Eagle license..."; there will popup the window for activation the software.
    -> select the folder and and license file xxxxxxxx.key
    -> go to the popup where you have to type the activation code.
    -> restart Eagle, done.

     

    Since few month Autodesk have bring out the new Eagle version, V8.1.0.
    Here, the license activation is different to the old Eagle versions.

    Also the old V7 will not work with the latest V6.6.0 - but if you have an upgrade license up to 7 then it may work.

  • If what suggests above doesn't work because you don't have your .key file anymore then simply email the old CADSoft team and they will be able to dig out your old license information for you. Send an email to support@cadsoftusa.com and they should be able to get you going again image
