Storing Eagle files online but editable by me

Pedro147
Pedro147 over 7 years ago

Hi. I have an Eagle sch and brd file (hobbyist only) that I work on at work and at home and am wondering if there is a way that I can store them online so I can edit them in Eagle.

It gets tiring emailing them to myself or copying to a flash drive or the like to transport them from work to home. Also it is hard to keep track of where I am up to at times.

I thought of just saving them as a text based fie in my GitHub but was thinking that there may be a better way available. Thanks for any thoughts or advice in regard to this.

Hi Rachael, you save me again and I thank you I will have to learn how to use all that but I'll give it a shot.

There are numerous cloud storage solutions you might have access. I used

both Dropbox and Google Drive, but OneDrive from Microsoft is also good.

You can even share the user folders (e.g. library, DRC rules, etc.) for

    best functionality.

    Regards,

    Marius

Thanks Marius. I do like Rachaelp's  GitLab for EAGLE idea but I had a look at the GiHub page and unfortunately I  couldn't work out how to use it.

I have access to Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive and Google Drive but short of saving them as text based files there how does that all work please?

I am looking for something in the cloud that I can go to and easily open my Eagle projects in and when I am finished they are all saved in the state that I left them in ready for next time. I only want to share them with myself as these are only hobby projects that usually I alone work on.
