Eagle PCB layout

Hi,

I recently made some Gerber files of a layout of a PCB board and sent the gerber files to a manufacturer in China.

The funny thing is this:

They keep complaining that my layout has short circuits?

I ran a DRC check on the design on board and schematics and it showed no errors or overlaps.

The board manufacturer kept complaining that the board has short circuits even though I could not find any...

I use Eagle 6.5

CAM: sfe-gerb274x.cam

board is 2 layers with a top and bottom polygon layers

How is this possible when the CAD shows no ERRORS and still the board manufacturer finds short circuits ?

    I don't recognise the CAM job as one of the standard ones. Where did you

    get it from?

     

    The first thing to do is to open the Gerbers you have generated in a

    suitable viewer (I use gerbv, some prefer GCPreview or others) and look

    at it alongside the Eagle board editor. Go through each Gerber file in

    turn comparing it to what Eagle shows for the appropriate (group of) layers.

     

    You'll probably find that the CAM job erroneously includes extra layers

    on one or other copper section. Either that, or the board house are

    misinterpreting your file extensions.
