Rectangle vias

There is a problem with vias rectangle drill for components like dc battery connectors(SPC4078 and  SPC21365SPC21365image

The only way to make it without errors at DRC and PCB manufacturers is to make a VERY BIG via (3.2mm diameter) or to make following operations

1. Place 2 smd pads for every pin (one per layer)

2. Place a 0.5 or 1mm with track over the pin in the MILLING layer

3. Activate the milling layer (also in the pcb manufacturer site)

4. When routing the PCB, connect both PCB sides, sometimes a via must be added

Could be added to cadsoft rectangle sized via in the VIAS layer?

I suppose that it must be added the possibility to use a milling head in the via layer

I spoke to eurocircuits about and they said if there is copper sorrounding the milling in upper and bottom layer they would metallize the rectangle drill

I use 0 line width for my Dimensions layer and have never had a problem with it. For drawing a slotted hole, I use two arcs and two line segments, all with 0 width in Dimension layer.

I once made an EAGLE library package for a DC jack similar to yours.  I used the dimension layer to create an oval slot.  I then used two SMT pads (top and bottom) and choose 100% roundness for each.  Both pads get connected together when building the DEVICE.

If you do that take care that pcb companies advises to use >= 0.4mm width track for dimensions

It may work as long as an eurocircuits engineer advised me that it would get metallized if there are metal in both pcb sides of the hole.
