First Complete Eagle Project

Hi All,

Until now I've been making my layouts using adobe fireworks then etching in acid and peroxide. Over the past two years or so I've poked here and there at eagle without much luck. At best I've grabbed a footprint or two and taken them with me into fireworks. Well... a few days ago I decided I'm at least going to learn eagle well enough to get through a simple and basic board layout.

I have made an sch and a brd for a bare-bones AT328P which will connect to a revolution counter / light detector circuit I made a while back. It will also connect to an I2C 128 x 32 OLED. I have attached both of my files and was wondering if any of you seasoned vets would mind having a look.

I don't want anyone blowing smoke up my ass... be honest please. If you see something messed up or that could have been done differently please explain.

Thank You,

John

*EDIT**

I guess it's not so "bare-bones" once you add an OLED, and external board and pin heading for UART programming. lol

    Hi John,

Nothing terrible jumps out but I did not notice any filter caps to

either side of the 117 regulator. The 220 caps on the crystal seem a

little big to me as well.

Layout seems ok. In one place a trace changes size. I do wish Eagle

would do this a bit less clunky. Fully functional but offends my

    sensibilities.
