    I want to copy a device from an existing library and put the copy in a different library.  I would rather not have to go back and forth copying first the symbol, and then the package and then make the new device in the new library.  Isn't there a way to just copy a whole device to a new library?

    Hi Mike,

     

    yes of course there is.... image

    Please arrange the EAGLE Control Panel and the Library Editor window with the target library on the Desktop so that you can see both windows. Now expand the Libraries entry of the tree view in the EAGLE Control Panel and click onto the Device you want to copy into your target lbr. Drag&Drop the entry into the Library Editor
    window.
