Hi Richard,

We are using Eagle v6 in our company, but we´ve a problem with Design Link, it appears the following error when we look information for a component:

"Error while accessing 'https://uk.farnell.com/pffind/services/SearchService':

6 SSL handshake failed"

Do you have any idea?
We´re are working with the professional edition, and I´ve tried to deactivate the antivirus and the firewall, but it doessn´t work.

I´ve just read a thread (http://www.element14.com/community/thread/4068?start=0&tstart=0) where some people have problems with design link, but it appears to be another kind of problems (unexpected end of file, so they have established a communication with the server) but my error is a "handshake error".

So I have no idea about the problem.

but my error is a "handshake error".

could it have something to do with your Firewall settings. The DesignLink connection is a secure https connection. Maybe that the Firewall blocks there something. What's the operating system you are using?

The operating system is Windows 7.
I´ve configured in the control panel-> firewall to allow Eagle v6.1.0 to comumnicate through Window´s firewall but it still doesn´t work, so it must be another problem.

Hi Xabi,

I don't have a solution for this yet. The problem is that we can't reproduce it here. I will keep an eye on this and inform you as soon as there is a solution or news about this.
