  • I am just getting started using EAGLE and have a question about library practices.

     

    I intend to att a part number attribute to every component I use and keep them all in custom libraries.

     

    the question is, how portable are libraries between versions of EAGLE.

     

    So far I have searched the distribution libraries first to see if my part is there.  If it is, I simply copy it to my custom library and add the part number attribute.

     

    Do you see a problem with this approach?
