    I am new to Eagle and have a couple of questions.

     

    1) How do I copy a package from one library to another so I don't have to create them from scratch every time?

    2) Can I make split power planes during layout?

    Hi, i need help about DRC rules. I prepare my circuits by using some hobby electronic techniques. And I'm using ofcourse eagle to draw them. However, when I change the DRC rules, especially the RESTRING option it changes the dimensions of all the component pads. And these are not equally the same for all of them. For example, the IC pads becomes much bigger than a resistor pad. And this is my problem. Is there any way to change only ressitor and capacitor pads. I know i can put extra via pads from the main BOARD window.

    Hi Jamie,

     

    the numbers 2,54/0,8 want to tell you that die drill diameter is 0.8mm (~32mil) and the diameter of the pad

    is 2.54mm (100mil). If you want to use smaller diameters you could change one of the packages there or define a new one with a smaller drill diameter.

    Hi Richard,

     

    I think that you may have miss read what I am trying to achieve.  The pad is to connect a 22 gauge wire to the PCB.
