For the LIFE of me I cannot figure out what to do to import my.dxf file which has a board outline that I need to create a board.

I am not sure what to do with a .scr file after I convert it......anyone got any steps I can follow?

Hi Alex,

there is documentation available for make-symbol-device-package-bsdl.ulp. It is part of the EAGLE installation and located in the eagle/doc folder and named 

make-symbol-device-package-bsdl-2011-en.pdf.

ROUTE as an icon is exactly the same as typing it in the command line. No difference.

Please help to understand the script make-symbol-device-package-bsdl.ulp.

Unfortunately, there is no description of this script, and I can not figure out how to properly create text or BSDL files.

On the Internet, could not find examples of the use this script.

I fiddled with it and got it cleaned up.  Not exactly sure why it was doing what it was doing.  But I deleted the connection on the schematic, ripped up each end segment of the trace, remade the connection on the schematic and re-routed each end segment. 

When you say ROUTE command, are you referring to using the icon from the tool bar on the left?  I presume so, and I guess it is a command.  But it seems more like a tool than a command.  Is there significance to entering a command on the command line?  I did enter ROUTE on the command line and it did nothing of significance other than select the Route tool.  I presume this is all the same, right?

Hi Mike,

what about ROUTE? When you try to route it does this help? You could also check with MOVE what the matter is. Maybe there are several wires at this position..... Once you got out what the problem is you can use UNDO to get back the original situation. Then decide how to proceed.

Mike: I would check the name of the trace to see if it's the same name as the air wire. I would understand it if it was a different name, and the traces aren't exactly on the start and end pad central position.

Also, does a DRC check show any errors?

I changed a few things on a board and now it gives me an air wire between two IC pins yet there is clearly a trace between them.  The trace is named the same as the connection on the schematic.  I can't seem to get the airwire to go away.  What should I do?  I'm using 5.11.

What I don't want to do is rip up the whole trace and reroute it since it's a complicated trace.

Yes, I might have done it. But everytime I reopen Eagle, the design rules

are declared default, even though they are set correctly. Also in the XML

data there is the header and description of the defaul rules instead of the

rules I have in used indeed. Only after I load the rules from the file I

have saved it looks OK - but only before the session is closed. A bit

confusing...
