EAGLE has played its part in aiding Arduino activities. Simplicity and capabilities of the CadSoft EAGLE Schematic/Layout/Autorouter package has enabled many users to explore and develop their projects. To illustrate this Arduino-compatible boards have been produced and are now available from Farnell.

I attended the Tinker EAGLE workshop yesterday and was grateful for the expert advice on offer.

I am trying to make a library that contains resistors of varies lead lengths and am looking for a written tutorial that covers creating a new library that contains components copied from another library.

I can copy the symbol but the past buffer is empty when I try to copy a package into a new library.
Ideally, I would like to create the new library with a clone of a device from an existing library and then add the package variants to the new library.

Links to a tutorial that covers this would be appreciated.

Hi Michael,

there is information about Copying parts in the manual. Please see chapter 8.14. This should help. If not feel free to post in the EAGLE CadSoft group.
