Idea about ULP and toolbar

huayuliang
huayuliang over 15 years ago

EAGLE has too many ULP, to run ULP need to select from directory or pulldown from submenu every time, maybe add some customizable button on tool bar for user can be more easy for user, and a .ini file can storage the button name and ulp's full path name.

I strongly suggest CADSOFT implement it in future versions...

You could use MENU. For example, in the schematic editor you could do the following:

    - Execute the MENU command line:

    MENU 'BOM : RUN bom.ulp;' 'Find : RUN find.ulp;' 'Statistic : RUN statistic-sch.ulp;'

    - Add the command line above to your EAGLE.SCR

    - Enable the command texts toolbar

I first read about the MENU command in the EAGLE 3.5 user manual (the command texts toolbar was the only toolbar present in the past). But the information is still in the manual, just type "HELP MENU" (without quotation marks). However, having the possibility to toggle the visibility state with a key assignment is new for me. This became possible with the advent of EAGLE 5.9.2.
