Question about the Net Classes in EAGLE

I defined a net class with Name=power, Width=40, Dirll=24, Clearance=24, and then I change the net class of a routed signal in the PCB editor to 'power' with command CHANGE. But the width of the signal did not change, please anybody here could help?

Hi Michael,

Changing the net class does not automatically change the width of the traces. For this purpose you can use cmd-change-brd-width.ulp. It allows changing the wire width of selected signals. But please run a DRC after running the ULP.

Thanks, but how the net class make differences on the drawing when I select one?

Is the net class mostly used by Autorouter? So it is actually unnecessary in other design steps, right?
