Orphans not working

Hi,

I have a new board design which has a ground plane top and bottom. When I Ratsnest - I get told that there is 1 airwire left. After much head-scratching - I found (visually!!) that there is an orphaned section in the bottom layer groundplane. There may be others of course but if they aren't used as a connection I will never know :-((.

Now - the Polygon has Orphans unchecked but it makes no difference whether its checked or not :-(.

NB Using V6.0.0 Light.

So - the question is how do I highlight any orphaned groundplane areas please ???. Then at least I can fix them and not just let them 'float' :-O.

Is this part of the known V6 bug ???.

Hi Graham,

I think this is indeed a problem with version 6.0.0. It should work in 6.1.0.

By the way: How to find an airwire?
Set the value for Catch factor in Options/set/Misc to 100, activate ROUTE and then click into the drawing.
The airwire will jump to the mouse cursor.

Thanks for the response, I didn't get the notification email I asked for - hence my delay in picking this up :-O.

I am already using V6.1.0 :-O. This is where it is failing.....No Orphans being highlighted :-((.

I'll try the airwire in a while....

Please accept my apologies :-O.

Orphans is indeed working in V6.1.0.

I was getting confused because I had already added a small number of via's just to connect orphaned ground fills :-O.
