Move Eagle to a new PC - Licensing

I am in the IT Dept at my company.  The Eagle user is being upgraded from a Windows XP PC to a Windows 7 PC.  How do I move the license to the new install of the software.  I attempted to download the license file again but it would not allow me to.

  • Hi Bill,

     

    the user initially got a license file ("serialnumber.key")  and a personal installation code consisting of ten lower case letter. If this is still available (we recommended to save these two items at save place) no problem to install it again.
    If this is no longer available, please contact our sales office with the serial number of your program and ask for the license data again. We will make them available for you again.

    We did receive a "packing list" in pdf format.  It contained the following information:

     

    License request according to PACKING LIST nr. 64508 dated 10/23/2012

    The EAGLE license file for

    Your license is ready for download from our server at:

    http://web.cadsoft.de/license.htm

    and enter your serial number 702BC6B9DB as well as your download code

    9873 1495 2901 1526 in the corresponding boxes.

     

    Do I need to re-download the license.htm or can I get the "serialnumber.key" from the users current computer?  When I tried to download the license.htm it gave me a message that there is no license available for that serial number.

    Hi,

     

    I do not know where the user stored "serialnumber.key". I'ld suggest to contact our US office.

    They can make the license data available for you again.
