First off, I'm new to Eagle CAD. I'm using v8.5.1 on Linux.
I'm making PCBs for a Raspberry Pi Zero W project of mine.
I'm wanting just some simple boards that route contact buttons to easy to solder through holes, this will let me connect them to the GPIO on the Pi without risking breaking off smd contacts (which I've already done once :/).
I'm having trouble understanding how a few things work, like, the libraries, the board ect...
Do I need to have every lbr file possible to be able to make things I think up? It just seems so restricted right now (I've added a few libraries already), for instance I went to search for a right angle momentary button but only got like one result, and it was hard to determine if that did what I wanted it to do (no model number or way to search information about it online)
I wanted to search for contacts (like the ones used in controllers for buttons that use a silicon pad to complete the circuit) but got only one result and again I'm not sure it's correct to what I had in mind.
So I'm wondering at this point where can I get the most help, since, I know of nobody that does this, I have watched videos online that still don't cover in-depth tools of the program, read online article on it ect...
I also have been trying to figure out hoe to just design my own symbols from scratch since I know what I want it to do and have all the schematics drawn out and connections worked out, my only limit now is this program.
I can upload my work so far if necessary.
