ULP : Design Link + BOM ?

Former Member
Former Member over 14 years ago

Hello,

With all my projects, I use a database with the BOM-AM ulp ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/eagle/userfiles/ulp/bom-am-17.zip. In the database, every component has a farnell reference. But my manufacturer needs the caracteristics of each of the components. So I would like to do an ulp that uses the design link functionnality to fill the fields needed.

But the design link ulp is not really clear... Does someone have some information about this ulp ? which functions to use, and how to use them ?

Thank you.

Jerome

    Hi Jerome,

    if you look into designlink-order.ulp you will find the line    numeric string PartCode[];

    This Partcode contains all the information that comes from the designlink interface. This is one line with tabulator separated information.  The order of information can be taken from thePartCodeHeader.

    Does this help?

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

    Can you use and modify any ULP for your own purpose? Is there any copyright on an ULP?

    Regards

    Klaus
