Copying Troubles

Question

I spent so long looking for a micro-USB connector last night by browsing libraries, I ended up creating the part myself as it was quicker!

My life would be simpler if I could gather all my commonly used parts together in my own library, but I can't find a way to copy parts between libraries. Similarly I can't find a way of copying a group in a schematic and pasting it into anothrer schematic - the cut and paste only seems to work inside a single schematic.

Is there a way of copying between libraries or between schematics?

Hi Urbie,

you can copy parts from one library into another very easily.

Please arrange the EAGLE Control Panel and the Library Editor window with the target library on the Desktop so that you can see both windows. Now expand the Libraries entry of the tree view in the EAGLE Control Panel and click onto the Device you want to copy into your target lbr. Drag&Drag the entry into the Library Editor window.
