We have a 3 lic and 1 lic version 6.0.0 Eagle software. When the programs searches for updates it tells me about the orphans and polygons but when I acknowledge the update nothing happens
The window identifies an updated version is available to download but when I download the new version my lic doesn't transfer to the newer verion and there isn't a patch (that I can find) to fix the problem in my current version. Unless I need the the hosts proxy server to download the update as the configure button's window asks for in the update window. This Url is a complete mistery as I cannot find it anywhere although I might of done a man's look but I don't think so.
In the past we bought the version 5 just before they brought out 6 we were not told of the new version, so when we tried to update we had to re purchase the lic. Do we have to purchase a new lic when ever there is a bug fix to repair this program. If this is the case why have an update function? It 's just advertising propaganda! Even microsoft fix problems within their versions without having to go through the hassle and cost of getting a new lic.
