Eagle V6 Updates

Question

Hi,

I looking at purchasing the standard version of Eagle V6 with Schematic, Layout and Autorouter (LSR-1CS) which is £600 from Farnell. My question is will I be entiteled to any free upates as the software develops or will I be stuck with the same version until I spend more money? I've looked through the forums but can't seem to find an answer to this question so any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

if you buy an EAGLE license now, it is a license for version 6. This means that you will get the current version 6.2.0 and all further releases beginning with 6 will be for for free.

As soon as there will be a new major release (probably 7) it will be an upgrade you have to pay for. We always offer special prices for major upgrades.
