mini projector

Hi my name is zak and i hope you are having a great day! I would like to make a mini projector and my box is about half a foot if i get a 4 inch backup screen for cars and take it apart so there is just a lcd screen can i put a really birght light behind the lcd screen and put a magnifing glass in front of the lcd screen will it project? if not i would like some sugestions! thanks!!!! image

    You are correct, that will work. However, the image you project will be backwards. (Mirror image)

     

    This is a fairly common project. Here is how many do it.

    1. Remove the LCD portion, but leave it connected to the driving circuit.

    2. Lay the LCD on top of an overhead projector. In the orientation you view normally.

    3. Make a gap between the LCD. Place a fan along side the screen. It will get hot. A combination of the bare screen and the high intesity light is the issue.

    4. Cover up light leaks around the LCD's frame. This will make for a clearer/sharper image.

    5. Turn on your media player, connected the the LCD.

    6. Have a good time.
