Hi Steve,

there is a User Language Program that allows to import bitmap. If it is a simple black/white image it can be used in one layer. The ULP is named import-bmp.ulp and comes with EAGLE.

Since version 6.3.0 it is possible to have multi line texts. There is nothing special about it. Simply use the TEXT command.
