Identifying components on a pcb for small production runs

Hi All

I'm looking for a way to speed up production of small runs of surface mount PCB's.  I want the assembler to be able to choose all "10uF 0603" capacitors from a list and have them all highlighted on the PCB so that they can be found easlily.

I've thought of writing a ULP that uses the show command ie show C1 C4 C10 C33 would show all of a certain capacitor.  The only problem with this that with double sided boards, the components would be mirrored, making it difficult for the operator.

Given Eagle, Gerbers, Comprehensive parts lists.  Does anybody know how this could be done.

Thanks, Norman

Thanks for that Richard.  I tried it; it works but is really ugly.  On a dense board all the value text goes over the outlines anf you end up with a spiderweb of text.  Also, you can't select a part, only increment to the next value.  A start, but not ideal.

Given that Eagle is a mid-tier product, I would think that there are lots of users producing small runs of their products.  A nicer graphical tool that allows one to select a value which is then highlighted would be very useful.
