Simple PCB for quadcopter

Hi

I am using eagle for the first time with this project. The frame of the quadcopter I am designing will be  made from a PCB with two copper layers inside. There are four arms of the quadcopter, each with its own electronic speed controller. In the attached image, you can see that there is a positive and negative solder pad for the electronic speed controllers to be soldered to on the frame.

I have a few questiond. First, where do I find these solder pads? I have searched through the libraries with no luck. Second, if you look ath the picture you can see metal through holes used to mount the arms to. I had no luck finding these through holes in the libraries I looked in. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Nick,

You need to create custom components in EAGLE for the ESC connectors, most probably. It is not hard, just requires the creation of the symbol, package and link them together as a device. This is explained in the EAGLE tutorial PDF.

The screenshot below shows the symbol/package/device icons that get used for this.

If you just want a plain undecorated hole, you can place that anywhere with the 'hole' menu item shown here:

If you want copper around it, you'll need to create a component for it same as mentioned above (or you could use the 'via' menu item).
