Library design origin placement

Hello,

I am new in using of eagle and I want to know if the component must be centered in the origin when we design it? And why must be centered component in origin thanks.

The component doesn't need to be centered at the origin, but the origin is what Eagle uses to place the component on a PCB layout. When you grab a component on a layout to move it, if you hold the CTRL key when grabbing the component the cursor will grab at the origin to allow precise placement of the component (since the cursor coordinates are always visible). One thing to try and do is keep the origin in a place where the pins will end up on the grid. If the center of the part is not on grid, don't choose it as the origin. I have seen some components with the origin on pin 1.
