Eagle 4.14

amilcar.brr

Hi all,

I would like to explore this version for educational purposes, but I can't find it on the web.

Could someone please point me to a link where I can get this version of CadSoft Eagle 4.14 if it still exists?

Best regards.

Hi, I've finished your schematic with the timer NE555. This was your schematic: This schematic I've completed with the timer and I created the PCB as well for you. The Cadsoft Eagle version…

    Hi colporteur,

Thank you very much for your suggestion but the graphical interface of KICAD is very different from Eagle. But this is not the main problem.
Why do I need version 4.14? A long time ago there was a robotics club at school and the project files we found have this reference. We intend to recover these projects and verify that everything is correct in a newer version of Eagle.

    Best regards.

Tricky.  Eagle is built in to Autocad’s Fusion 360 now.  They may have old standalone versions on their website which might have a trial period.  Perhaps the oldest version available from there will read v4.14files and convert them so you can save them in a more up to date version.  Kicad may then read them in and convert them.  That would certainly be my first approach but there is a lot of “might” in this admittedly.

I appreciate your constraints. I've experienced similar.

What version of Eagle do you have?

I have both 4.x and 6.5 on my computer. I think 6.5 can read version 4 files.

Do you just need to view schematics?

If I find it, it will be posted here:  Files

Shame no-one grabbed a mirror of the cadsoft FTP site. Oh - I'll investigate this.

    Hi cstanton,

Thank you very much for your attention.
This version, Cadsoft EAGLE v4.16r2 for Windows, I had already managed to obtain from WayBackMachine and there are also other previous versions but the previous ones did not save the files with ftp access.
We will try to open the project schematics with this version and I hope there will be no constraints with the libraries.
    I really appreciate your concern.

    Best regards.

    HI dougw,

Thank you very much for the reply.
In fact, we used version 5.11.0 and found that some symbols in the diagrams were not found.
To try to avoid this problem, just use version 4.14.
However, we may have another problem, possibly the members of our robotics group could have created a library for the components they needed but could not find in the existing libraries at that time. If this happened, then our work will be fruitless because we will not find any library in the projects. Let's see if we can get better results with the 4.16r2 version provided by cstanton.

    Best regards.

    Hi cstanton,

    This was my best result:
    https://web.archive.org/web/20050405013219/http://www.cadsoft.de/cgi-bin/download.pl?page=/home/cadsoft/html_public/download.htm.de&dir=pub/program/4.1

But all connections point to a ftp connection that has not been archived.

The grab file you mentioned they have 4.09r2, 4.16r2, 5.12, 6.6 and more recent versions.

    What a shame...

    Best regards.
