Eagle: All components missing in IDF export?

Hello,

I have been banging my head against my screen and scouring the web to try to fix my IDF export issues. My board is ready to fab, but I need to verify the mechanicals. Please help!

I have a simple two layer board, and I am using the eagleidfexporter.ulp. It generates the files, for now i am using the default 1mm heights, but I have manually changed a few parts.

When I try to open this in FreeCAD, I see the board and all PTHs, but no components. Any advice? I should note that FreeCAD only allows me to open the .emn file, not the .emp file.

FYI, I have also tried the generate_3d_data ULP and get an error saying that "no board outline on layer 50" -

I've have added the board outline layer and drawn my outline into layer 50, but I still see this error!

Edit: Additionally, I have edited some component packages to include the correct tCad, bCad layers.

I was having the same issue with someone else eagle file. What I found was they they edited the value of components and included a space, so the .emp file would contain spaces where they weren't expected.

When you import to say freecad it would only import the board outline with drill holes not the location of the various parts.

Posting this encase someone else ever has this issue.
